Training that turns metaphor into movement
Metaphors of Movement is a clinically grounded framework developed by Andrew T. Austin. It works with the language people naturally use about direction, terrain, obstacles and burdens to reveal the structure behind emotion and behaviour.
Whether you are completely new, ready for advanced study or looking for an ongoing practice community, everything you need is organised below.

Who the training is for
Metaphors of Movement is designed for therapists, counsellors, psychotherapists, coaches, consultants, hypnotherapists, facilitators and trainers who want a precise, experiential way to work with metaphor. When a client says, “I’m stuck,” “I’m under pressure” or “I keep hitting a wall,” MoM shows you how to take that language seriously and explore its underlying structure.
